Michael S. Erwin
Senior Operating Partner
Mike brings over 40 years of executive management and C-suite experience in a variety of industries to Taureau Group. His knowledge adds a deep level of insight and executive perspective to the proficiency of our M&A process, which sets us apart from other investment banking firms. Mike has vast experience in preparing companies for sale by adding value and developing strong buy- and sell-side strategies. Mike earned is BBA in Business Operations from the Milwaukee School of Engineering along with studying Advanced Leadership Development and Strategic Planning at Duke University.
Most recently, Mike has served as the CEO and Co-owner of Tailored Label Products, Inc. and currently serves on several boards of directors, including Midland Plastics, Inc., CDM Tool & Manufacturing Company, LLC, Sentry Equipment Corp., Creative Metal Products, Inc., Landmark Credit Union, and Milwaukee School of Engineering. Mike’s knowledge and experience is trusted by many businesses in our community and provides advisory work under Erwin Advisory Group.
Over his long career, Mike has earned the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, the BizTimes BRAVO Entrepreneur Award, and the United Way “Live United” Leadership award. After decades of demanding C-level roles and business travel, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Nancy, babysitting grandkids, enjoying specialty cars, reading, and shooting sporting clays.

Andrew Sannes, JD
Senior Operating Partner
With over 100 successful transactions to his credit, Andrew’s focus is on tech-enabled services, technology integrators, business process outsourcing, managed services, as well as numerous other business services. Exceeding two decades of experience as an M&A professional, Andrew brings a broad range of experience representing companies from the Fortune 500 to the lower middle market on mergers and acquisitions, securities, leveraged buyouts and recapitalization strategies. The experience he brings to Taureau Group includes M&A, private equity, financial services, business operations, and legal.
Prior to joining Taureau Group, Andrew was a Managing Director at a Chicago based M&A investment bank following his time as a Director in the Chicago office of a national investment banking firm. Before his time as an M&A investment banker, Andrew served as Co-founder, CFO and CLO of GimmeAnother, a mobile e-commerce company. Prior to that, Andrew was a Managing Director of an independent sponsor focused on the acquisition of troubled bank assets and was previously an M&A attorney counseling on over $3B in M&A transactions.
Andrew is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School (JD) and the University of Wisconsin – Madison (BA). Outside of Taureau Group, Andrew volunteers his time on the Financial Committee of the Church of St. Mary Parish and as an advisor to a private charitable foundation. He also sits on the advisory boards of several early-stage high growth technology companies, is a member of the Finance Committee of a private family office, a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Chicago, and a member of Vistage Worldwide (Chicago). Andrew resides in Lake Forest, IL with his wife, daughter, chocolate Labrador, and two cats.

Jerry Pines
Senior Operating Partner
Jerry comes to Taureau Group with an extensive background in managing large distribution and manufacturing corporations throughout the United States and Mexico. Jerry earned his BS in Communications from the University of Illinois and went on to serve in various executive leadership roles, including President of Triumph Industries, which was a division of NYSE company Alco Standard. He was the founder and CEO of Metro Metals Corporation, whose Electro Coating Technologies division is currently owned by the NYSE-listed company Material Sciences. He was also one of the founders and CEO of Walker Manufacturing Group.
Within the organization, Jerry provides his experience and industry knowledge for strategic guidance and expertise based on his manufacturing, metal coating, and metal fabrication career. Because of our deep roots in that industry, our clients gain unparalleled value and guidance to better position their business within the market for success. Jerry currently provides advisory services under Ravinia Consulting Group, where he manages representation and consulting activities for a wide variety of manufacturing firms in the United States and Mexico.

Jon Moreau
Senior Operating Partner
With nearly 30 years of experience in advising businesses on strategic and financial business planning, Jon brings his private equity and financial knowledge to Taureau Group. His focus is on extending growth strategies in the North Region to support the deal team in providing expansive strategic financial support for our clients. Jon earned his BS in Accounting from Marquette University and has held various roles for public companies as well as the CFO for both privately held and private-equity-owned businesses in the heavy manufacturing, light manufacturing, foundry, construction, assembly, food manufacturing, and services industries.
Currently, Jon is an active member of Executive Agenda and on the Board of Directors for a Wisconsin manufacturer while conducting his advisory work under MoreValue Financial Consulting. His work allows him to apply financial and M&A experience to our due diligence process that works to assist private equity firms and business owners increase and realize value. Jon works to provide additional support and experience to all of our M&A transaction strategies.
