The Associate will work on projects related to investment banking services, including business sales and divestitures, acquisitions, MBOs, recapitalization, business valuations, and other corporate finance services as appropriate. The position will support investment banking engagements and new business development.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence and execute transactions.
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing, and other presentations.
  • Perform company and industry research.
  • Prepare, analyze, and explain historical and projected financial information.
  • Value companies and businesses.
  • Assist to market and plan projects.
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisers.
  • Engage in ongoing personal development in line with the growth and development strategy.

Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required. The individual must be able to successfully pass background checks.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance and/or general business; MBA preferred.

Experience Required

2+ years of experience in investment banking or corporate M&A.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Motivated, self-starter with a desire to grow into leadership for the practice area
  • Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting
  • Possess excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
