Tom Venner

Tom brings value to the complex workings of the Taureau Group investment banking team to help clients realize their ultimate goals. With his BS in Business Administration and Finance from Marquette University, Tom has also earned Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) certifications from the Risk Management Association University. His education combined with multiple years of experience in the credit analysis and portfolio management sectors of the financial industry gives him great knowledge in the underwriting and portfolio management of large corporate banking clients.

Within the team, Tom assists with identifying the highest potential buyers or sellers while simultaneously evaluating comparable companies and relevant transactions to create memorandums and offering materials to provide clients with the full picture. Tom provides financial modeling, recommending structure, analyzing performance metrics, and deepening vital customer relationships. He’s worked in several industries including manufacturing, distribution, real estate, dealerships, health care, oil, and gas. Tom is the team’s Private Equity Coverage Lead, acting as the main point of contact with private equity firms to ensure sell-side deals are presented to the appropriate groups.

Tom is a jack of all trades outside the office as well, spending his time with his wife, daughter, and dog while still making time to create some home-brews and find the next great board game. To get fresh air, Tom also golfs, travels, and just generally enjoys the outdoors.
