Managing Director & Shareholder, Debt Placement Lead

As a Managing Director and Shareholder of Taureau Group, Michael plays a key role in realizing the goals of clients. Michael has nearly two decades of experience in M&A and corporate finance to lower middle market companies and is a licensed investment banking representative (Series 63 and 79 licenses). His extensive experience includes preparing companies for sale and creating value prior to a sale, developing sell-side and buy-side strategies and marketing processes, contacting potential targets, executing auction processes, sourcing financing, and negotiating transaction terms. In addition to providing merger and acquisition services, Michael is Taureau Group’s debt placement lead.

Michael is a member of the Wisconsin Chapters of both the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries (MBBI). In addition, Michael looks for opportunities to be involved with community organizations like Junior Achievement and others.

Prior to joining Taureau Group, Michael was a vice president, portfolio manager for Associated Bank, NA and brings his lending experience into every project. Michael earned an MBA from Marquette University and a BBA in finance from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh.

On the personal side, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and their three young children. And lastly as an avid Wisconsin sports fan, Michael hopes to see the Brewers win a World Series in his lifetime.
