Join our team as an M&A Analyst

This position is responsible for primarily supporting investment banking engagements. The M&A Analyst will also work on projects related to investment banking services, including business sales and divestitures, acquisitions, MBOs, recapitalization, business valuations and other corporate finance services as appropriate.

Principal accountabilities:

  • Provide execution support for M&A transactions and business due diligence
  • Support development of confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing, and other presentations
  • Perform company and industry research
  • Prepare, analyze and explain historical and projected financial information
  • Support valuations of companies and businesses
  • Assist to market and plan projects
  • Firm/team administration and perform firm and team administrative duties
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisers. Networking and business development activities expected to make up less than five hours per month.
  • Engage in ongoing personal development in line with the growth and development strategy

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance and/or General Business degree; MBA preferred.

Experience required:

1+ years of experience in investment banking or corporate M&A.

Knowledge and skills required:

  • Motivated, self-starter with a desire to grow into leadership for the practice area
  • Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of accounting
  • Possess excellent critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Strong attention to detail
